Siam Park was recorded the world’s biggest artificial sea by Guinness Book. Veerasak Kowsurat, chairman of Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) board, said the world’s record built good reputation for Thailand and Thai people.

It was forecast that overseas travel market would decline 30 percent if no measures were issued to help the tourism industry. Mr. Charoen Vang-ananont, president of the Thai Travel Agents Association (TTAA), said a number of tourists going abroad would fall 30 percent between the first and the third quarter of this year.

The Tourism and Sports Ministry will ask the cabinet tomorrow for lending support of 5 billion baht to tourism entrepreneurs affected by the closure of Suvarnabhumi Airport late last year.
